Suitable Placement

Installation on an appropriate, level surface away from excessive moisture, uncontrolled heat, harsh sunlight, unsafe electrical conditions, or outdoor exposure unless the product is expressly described for such use.

Routine Care

Cleaning and maintenance performed with appropriate methods and products, without abrasive agents, aggressive chemicals, excessive water, or unauthorized alterations.

Natural aging, environmental effects, and accidental damage are different from defects.

The following conditions are generally outside limited warranty protection unless the applicable written product warranty expressly states otherwise.

Please retain the product, packaging labels when available, hardware, order information, and all relevant evidence until the review is complete. Do not discard, repair, modify, or return the product without instructions.

Warranty service does not always require replacement of the entire product. Many concerns can be resolved through troubleshooting, adjustment, replacement hardware, component replacement, or another targeted remedy.

Care or Adjustment Guidance

When the concern is related to setup, alignment, cushion placement, drawer adjustment, hardware tightening, lamp compatibility, or routine care, detailed guidance may restore proper performance.

Replacement Hardware

Missing or defective fasteners, feet, brackets, handles, slides, connectors, switches, or other serviceable components may be replaced when available.

Replacement Component

A covered section, cushion, panel, drawer, mirror component, lamp component, or other replaceable part may be supplied instead of replacing the complete item.

Repair Support

Product Replacement

If the verified defect cannot reasonably be resolved through a part, adjustment, or repair, an eligible replacement may be considered, subject to product availability and applicable terms.

Comparable Alternative

When the original product or finish is unavailable, a reasonably comparable item or another appropriate remedy may be offered in accordance with the applicable warranty and legal requirements.

Thoughtful care protects appearance, performance, and warranty eligibility.

Furniture and decor naturally respond to use, light, temperature, humidity, cleaning methods, placement, and weight. Preventive care cannot stop every change, but it can substantially reduce premature damage and help preserve the original design.

Upholstery

Rotate loose cushions when appropriate, vacuum gently, address spills promptly, avoid abrasive cleaning, and protect fabrics from pets, sharp objects, direct heat, and prolonged sunlight.

Wood and Finishes

Use coasters and protective pads, wipe moisture promptly, avoid placing hot objects directly on surfaces, and maintain suitable indoor temperature and humidity.

Rugs and Cushions

Follow care labels, use an appropriate rug pad, rotate rugs where practical, avoid prolonged moisture, and do not wash removable covers unless the instructions expressly permit it.

How do I know the warranty duration for my product?

Review the product page, order confirmation, product packaging, instruction manual, warranty card, or manufacturer documentation. The most product-specific written warranty period supplied with your purchase controls the duration of coverage.

Does the warranty cover normal wear and aging?

Limited warranties generally do not cover normal wear, gradual softening, minor pilling, light scratches, compression, fading, natural material variation, or cosmetic changes that occur through ordinary residential use and do not result from a covered defect.

Are shipping damage and warranty claims handled the same way?

Not always. Damage visible at delivery may be treated as a delivery or transit issue rather than a warranty defect. Photograph the packaging, shipping label, complete product, and damaged area as soon as possible and report the concern promptly.

Can I repair the product before submitting a claim?

Do not repair, alter, refinish, rewire, reupholster, or discard the product before receiving instructions. Unauthorized work may change the condition, remove evidence, create additional damage, or affect eligibility.

Will an approved claim always result in a full replacement?

No. The appropriate remedy may be troubleshooting, adjustment guidance, replacement hardware, a replacement component, repair support, product replacement, or another reasonable resolution permitted by the applicable warranty.

Are color, grain, texture, and finish differences considered defects?

Natural or production-related variation is generally not a defect when it falls within the expected character of the material and does not impair normal function. Wood, woven textiles, rugs, upholstery, reflective surfaces, and hand-finished products may not be visually identical.

Does moving the product affect warranty coverage?

The act of moving does not automatically cancel coverage, but damage caused by dragging, dropping, impact, improper lifting, disassembly, reassembly, storage, or transportation is generally not considered a manufacturing defect.

Can a warranty be transferred to another owner?

Warranty transferability depends on the specific written terms for the product. Many limited warranties apply only to the original purchaser and require proof of purchase. Review the documentation supplied with your order for the applicable ownership requirements.

What happens when the original part or finish is unavailable?

When an identical component, material, finish, or product is unavailable, SoftHaven may offer a reasonably comparable alternative or another appropriate remedy. Differences in color, texture, grain, hardware, dimensions, or construction may occur because of production changes and natural variation.

Does this warranty replace my legal consumer rights?

No. This page describes general warranty principles and is not intended to remove rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Additional rights may apply depending on the product, transaction, written warranty, and governing law.
